The difference between cold press and hot press

Date: 2021-08-03   Views: 1928

Hot press machine:

A hot press is a device that heats two pre coated parts with solder flux to a temperature sufficient to melt and move the solder. After solidification, it forms an electrical and mechanical connection between the parts and the solder. Depending on the product, the heating rate can be selected. The titanium alloy pressure head ensures uniform temperature, rapid heating, and specialized service life. The pressure head is specially designed with a horizontally adjustable plan to ensure even compression of the components. Temperature CNC, clear and precise. Equipped with a digital pressure gauge, the pressure range can be preset.

Application scope: 1. Mobile phone manufacturers 2. Touch screen manufacturers 3. Computers 4. Printers 5. Film switches, etc.

Cold press machine:

Cold press machine, also known as cold dryer compressor. The amount of water vapor in compressed air is determined by the temperature of the compressed air: while maintaining a constant compressed air pressure, reducing the temperature of the compressed air can reduce the water vapor content in the compressed air, and excess water vapor will condense into liquid. The refrigerated dryer (freeze dryer) uses this principle to select refrigeration skills to dry compressed air.

Application scope: Used for furniture production, processing and production of wooden laminated parts such as speakers, woodworking, decoration, plastic, flat plywood, plywood, particleboard, veneer, etc. High production power and good quality, suitable for the production of wooden components in various furniture production units and other professions.

The obvious difference between these two is that the hot press has heating equipment, while the cold press does not; Another advantage is that the titanium alloy pressure head of the hot press ensures uniform temperature, rapid heating, and a long service life. The pressure head is specially selected with a horizontally adjustable plan to ensure even compression of the components. On the other hand, the cold press machine reduces the water vapor content in the compressed air by reducing the temperature of the compressed air, while the excess water vapor will condense into liquid.

Both cold and hot presses are used for flattening, bonding, masking, and pressing sheets. As the name suggests, a cold press can only press at room temperature, while a hot press can heat sheets at temperatures up to 300 degrees, resulting in a higher flatness of the hot press surface. Customers can purchase according to their own production requirements. If they do not have high requirements for adhesive and production power, they can choose cold pressing. Due to the long cold pressing time, sometimes it takes 3-4 hours or even longer.
